VLEO (very-low-earth-orbit) satellites, designed for 200km to 450km altitude, will take the forefront in Golden Dome, but also in civilian and other government satellite constellations. Producing hundreds or thousands of satellites is a completely different process than making one or a handful of devices. It requires production scaling from prototype to production on a wide range of parts. Melrose specializes in many of those parts, and in making functional electronic sub-assemblies. Most companies are good at one or the other types of processing, but we live in the flexible middle ground where we adapt to your needs.

As an indication of our expertise and quality, Melrose is an AS9100 with 9001:2015 certified, and ITAR registered company. In addition, we are in the process of completing CMMC Level 2 certification.

Melrose has significant experience in making the following parts for satellites & spaceborne rockets:

Die-cut Thermal Management: felt, foam, etc.
Die-cut Reflectors: aluminum or gold foil
Nameplates and Foil Labels: MIL-DTL-15024 and MIL-P-19834b photosensitive metal
